Position: The Department of Nutrition, Food and Exercise Sciences in the College of Human Sciences at Florida State University is seeking a nutrition scientist to fill one tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants are expected to develop an extramurally funded research program that will strengthen and complement the Department’s ongoing research activity. The salary and startup package are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to: (1) develop/maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extramurally funded research program, and (2) contribute to the Department’s teaching and service efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additionally, the applicant is expected to recruit and mentor graduate students.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in nutrition or related discipline and have significant postdoctoral training. Applicants must demonstrate a record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and evidence of extramural support for research activities. Special consideration will be given to applicants conducting research related to diet & the microbiome and/or microbiome & metabolic disease.
