Responsible for the implementation and promotion of nutrition education component and client counseling for chronic disease management, outpatient diabetes education, and wellness programs.
* Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietician * Current license by the Texas State Board of Examiners * Must be willing to pursue certification as Certified Diabetes Educator.
If candidate is a new graduate:
Candidate must be registry eligible
Must obtain temporary license within 90 days of employment
Must obtain permanent license within six months of employment
Failure to obtain license within this time frame will result in termination of employment
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or Food/Institutional Management * Master of Science in Nutrition preferred
* Prefer minimum 1 year experience as clinical dietitian with a broad experience in diabetes education, wellness, and individual/group nutrition counseling.
