The UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN seeks applicants for a full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer position in Nutrition and Dietetics for Fall 2017. We are in search of a confident, passionate, and innovative specialist in experiential education and undergraduate teaching in an expanding Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) which will include a new undergraduate major in Health, Exercise and Lifestyle Promotion.
Qualifications: A Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with a minimum of an earned master's degree and preferably with an earned doctorate degree (or intent to complete) with research experience in community, public health or health promotion in nutrition or related field.
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching with prior post-secondary teaching experience, expertise with current academic technology, and a demonstrated history of research and/or publication in nutrition, public health or health promotion.
Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching nutrition related graduate and undergraduate courses; planning and supervising dietetic field-based experiences and experiential education; academic advising of undergraduate students; supervising student research projects; participating in curriculum and program development, participating in research projects and scholarly publication and related activities including grants for external and internal funding; and engaging in University service.
The position is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track, fixed term renewable appointment.
