The Division of Natural Sciences at Franklin Pierce University, the College at Rindge, NH, is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Health Sciences, commencing August 2018. The Health Science program at Franklin Pierce University is expanding and this program is searching for a candidate who can provide expertise in nutritional sciences and disease prevention.
The incumbent will be responsible for teaching nutrition science courses, including Human Health and Nutrition and Advanced Nutrition. The faculty member will also participate in teaching other courses, including Introduction to Health Sciences and Biology and Health Sciences Seminar and is expected to contribute to the First-Year Experience program for students. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the nutritional sciences curriculum in the Department of Health Sciences, as well as serve on the Health Sciences Advising Committee. The faculty member will also serve to advise Health Science undergraduates and should have a commitment to supporting student internships.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in Nutrition or Biochemistry, or closely related discipline. The candidate will also demonstrate teaching effectiveness at the college level and exhibit a strong commitment to undergraduate education, learning and advising. All full-time members of the faculty are expected to contribute to the Division and University events and activities. All faculty positions are expected to engage in institutional service as well as maintain a program of scholarly/creative work.
