The Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) Department of Nutritional Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time faculty position. SHP is one of eight schools that are part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, the premier health sciences institution in New Jersey. Rutgers is an internationally ranked and recognized University that is a member of the prestigious AAU and the Big Ten conference. The SHP Department of Nutritional Sciences is inviting applications for a full time faculty position.
The Department houses a Coordinated Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, M.S. in Clinical Nutrition for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists only and the nation's first Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition, which are well recognized for their innovation in nutrition and dietetics education, scholarship and research and has a growing research portfolio with faculty involved in global scholarship and education. This year we are opening an entry level M.S. in Clinical Nutrition based on the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics future education model, preparing students with the education and training to become registered dietitian/nutritionists. This forward-thinking program will combine distance-based courses with in-person learning and clinical clerkships.
Job responsibilities include course development, teaching, student advisement and scholarship. The individual will collaborate and teach with other programs in the department, school, and university.

We are seeking a faculty member with a minimum of a doctoral degree in nutrition; clinical experience; and the RDN credential. The successful candidate will have experience in mentoring students in clinical settings and teaching using distance learning technology, preferably within entry-level dietetics and nutrition programs. This position is at the instructor or assistant-professor level.
