The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) seeks an individual for a 12 month, tenure track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor. The desired candidate will have research and teaching interest related to nutrition.
The location and environment at KUMC provides excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaborations. KUMC is a large, urban academic medical center with numerous research resources, centers and institutes to support a research program. Requirements: Doctoral degree in Nutrition or closely related field; evidence of productivity and strong potential for extramural funding in nutrition; experience in academic teaching; outstanding oral and written communication skills; and ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Dietitian; post-doctoral experience; research funding (e.g., NIH, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, etc.); and peer-reviewed published papers.
