The Department of Kinesiology & Health Sciences at The College of William & Mary seeks applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level with a specialization in Human Nutrition, or Dietetics as related to health and well-being. Responsibilities include research, teaching, student advisement, and service to the department, university and discipline. Teaching expectation is two nutrition-related courses per semester. The applicant is expected to establish and maintain an externally funded research program that also inspires a highly motivated undergraduate student body. The department and William & Mary offer a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. The individual selected will be encouraged to design, implement, and study nutritional interventions across the lifespan in both healthy and diseased populations. Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Nutrition or Dietetics or a related field at the time of appointment (August 10, 2018). Evidence of high quality scholarship related to the role of nutrition on human health and wellness outcomes is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications: Postdoctoral research experience is desirable, but not required, and previous experience in teaching and mentoring successful undergraduate research is preferred. A registered dietician nutritionist is preferred.
