Plan and provide Nutrition interventions that include consideration of specific age-related characteristics and needs related to physical development, motor control, communication, socialization, and safety. Assists in the coordination and integration of clinical nutrition services with other LMHS departments, committees and physicians. Manages the nutritional care of all patients including screening, assessment, intervention and education.
Education: Minimum BS in Dietetics / Human Nutrition and Foods
Experience: Preferred in general clinical nutrition, and / or long term care but not required. For Pediatrics, pediatric experience preferred.
Training: On the job training is provided
License: Commission on Dietetic Registration – Registered Dietitian (RD): Required May be RD Eligible to apply for position but must be RD before candidate may start Florida Licensure (LD) through the Florida Department of Profession Regulations (DPR): Required – obtain within 90 days of hire Certified Nutrition Support Specialist: Preferred Certified Specialist in Pediatrics: Preferred (for pediatric position)
Other: Working knowledge of principles of current clinical nutrition and patient care for all stages of the life cycle. Demonstrate ability to interface with system personnel and medical staff on issues of clinical nutrition and patient care.
