Ball State University is pleased to invite applications for the position of Department Chairperson in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science. We are looking for an outstanding individual who possesses visionary leadership abilities, management and accreditation experience, and a broad appreciation for the diverse disciplines within our department.
The Chairperson will create and maintain a dynamic, collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science. The Chairperson plans, directs, and coordinates the academic, operational, personnel, budgetary, and student activities of the various majors, minors, graduate studies, and related programs. The Chairperson provides leadership and vision to foster excellence in scholarship, teaching, and professional service.
Minimum Qualifications: •Earned doctorate from an accredited college or university in a field related to the academic programs in the Department.
•Minimum of five years of experience directing programs, managing budgets, chairing committees, managing personnel, and writing reports.
•Successful involvement in scholarly productivity including publications, presentations, grants, or creative endeavors in a field related to the programs of the Department.
•Current or recent experience in teaching both undergraduate and graduate students in a field related to the programs of the Department.
•Leadership in service work including active participation in a related professional organization.
